The central part of Aleksandar Bogojević's research has been in high-energy theoretical physics. This work has focused on several topics in quantum field theory, string theory, and black hole physics. He has recently developed a systematic procedure for studying the continuum limit of path integrals. This new analytical input has resulted in a substantial speed-up of numerical procedures for calculating path integrals. Another line of research has dealt with the study of planetary system formation through the development and analysis of effective models of gravitational accretion. This has uncovered novel universality properties and the strong ties between gravitational accretion and scale-free networks.
