Research Topics
The research at SCL conforms with the overall aim to be on the forefront of the development of scientific computing as a novel research tool. All the research activities being pursued share the same underlying theme: simulation of complex systems and analysis of emerging properties. The main research topics covered by SCL researchers include:
- Efficient calculation of path integrals with applications to ultra-cold quantum gases
- Modeling and simulations of granular materials
- Study of strongly correlated quantum systems
- Modeling of information processing in complex classical and quantum systems
Apart from these main topics, SCL researchers plan to pursue a promising and recently opened-up avenue of research related to the modeling of transport processes in nano-structured materials and organic semiconductors.
