The latest issue of Europhysics News, the magazine of the European Physical Society, has highlighted the letter on Disordered configurations of the Glauber model in two-dimensional networks that SCL's Iva Bačić and Igor Franović have recently published in EPL. The letter tackles the problem of phase ordering in systems consisting of a huge number of interacting entities that form a complex network (the situation encountered in, e.g., magnetic, social, geological or electrochemical systems). In collaboration with Matijaž Perc (University of Maribor, Slovenia), Iva and Igor have examined how the interplay between local dynamics and network topology affects the ordering.
