SCL's Antun Balaz visited University of Duisburg-Essen from 21 to 28 November 2010, as a part of activities of the PI-BEC research project. The discussions with the host Axel Pelster focused on the ongoing work on generalizations of effective action approach for time-dependent potentials and their applications for numerical studies of the dunamics of ultracold quantum gases. In particular, effects of harmonic modulation of the s-wave scattering length (interaction strength) on the dynamics of a Bose-Einstein condensate was considered.

During the visit, Antun Balaz gave a talk "Path Integrals Without Integrals" at the Physics Department of the University of Duisburg-Essen.
