Serbian Ministers of Science Aleksandar Popovic and of Financing Mladjan Dinkic visit Institute of Physics and Scientific Computing Laboratory. The purpose of their visit was announce of new Government program - National Investment Plan. This program includes more infrastructure investments and Serbian science will be one of them. Ministers visits laboratories that awarded three year EU Centre of Excellence grants that started on July 1, 2006.

In SCL they were greeted by Aleksandar Belic, head of SCL. Belic informed Ministers about SCL activities and projects, especially Centre of Excellence CX-CMCS and EGEE project. Ministers Popovic and Dinkic had a chance to view the lab’s computing infrastructure, particularly its PARADOX parallel cluster – one of the central GRID resources in the SEE region and central point in local AEGIS infrastructure.
