The 31st International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT) took place in Beijing, China, from 19 to 26 July 2018. The National team that represented Serbia was ranked 18th among 32 participating countries. The members of the team were Petar and Miloš Petrašinović from The Grammar School "Vuk Karadžić" in Trstenik, Emilija Đorđević from the Grammar School in Smederevo, and Aleksandra Petković from The Grammar School "Svetozar Marković" in Niš. It should be emphasized that this is only the second participation of Serbian team at IYPT and that this year's result presents a major advancement over the last year's result, when our team was ranked 25th among 30 participating countries.

The team was headed by SCL's Vladimir Veljić and Aleksandra Alorić, as well as Jelena Pajović from the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade. Aleksandra Alorić has also served as an experienced juror during the entire competition.
