SCL at ISC 2012
SCL's Danica Stojiljkovic and Milica Cvetkovic were members of PRACE team at ISC'12 exhibition in Hamburg which lasted from 17-21 June 2012.
The 2012 International Supercomputing Conference (ISC’12) concluded its 27th meeting after drawing a record 2,403 attendees and 175 of the leading high performance computing vendors and research organizations from around the world.
On 17th June 2012, at the start of ISC’12, PRACE held its annual PRACE Scientific Conference in Hamburg, Germany. During the four days of excibition PRACE team members presented the current achievements of research done by some of the first projects to receive major allocations of time on PRACE’s leading-edge supercomputers.
PRACE organised a BoF session on "Prototypes evaluation“.In this session PRACE explores a set of prototypes to test and evaluate promising new technologies for future multi-Petaflop/s systems. These include GPUs, ARM processors, DSPs and FPGAs as well as novel I/O solutions and hot water cooling.
