ICTP BEC conference

SCL research on properties of Bose-Einstein condensated was presented at the Conference on Research Frontiers in Ultra-Cold Atoms, held from 4 to 8 May 2009 at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy. The conference was co-organized by ICTP and MIT-Harvard Center for Ultracold Atoms, and brought together over 160 researchers from the field.

During the conference a poster on Short-time Effective Action Approach for Numerical Studies of Rotating Ideal BECs was jointly presented by Antun Balaz and Axel Pelster. The presented results are obtained in long-term collaboration with SCL's Ivana Vidanovic and Aleksandar Bogojevic, in the framework of bilateral Serbian-German research project PI-BEC. Several interesting discussions on possible collaboration with experimental BEC groups were initiated at the conference.
