On Tuesday, 27 March 2018, the delegation of CERN, headed by the director for International Relations Charlotte Warakaulle, visited IPB. Their visit to IPB is part of a broader initiative, whose final aim is the full membership of Serbia in CERN. The CERN representatives also visited our National Center of Excellence for the Study of Complex Systems and its Scientific Computing Laboratory, where they briefly discussed with the head of the Center, Dr. Antun Balaž. The discussion was focused on the activities of our Center, with particular emphasis on how our Center acts as a hub attracting best PhD students and early-stage researchers both from abroad and at the national level. The guests were also shown our PARADOX-IV supercomputing facility.
